If you find that you don't have all the camping bits you need or if you'd like to Glamp it up a bit then why don't you check out our extras and take a bit of the hassle out.
-
Do I Need Wellies?
It depends what you'd like to do and on the weather! Our car park is stone and our communal section and paths are laid with bark chippings so they aren't necessary for the site - you just have to decide what else you'd like to do!
-

Friendly, well behaved dogs are so very welcome! We ask that you clean up after them, keep them out of the play area and please put them on a lead when you leave the main site.

What Are the Campfire Rules?
In each of our pods you'll find a welcome pack with all the information you could need including Fire rules:
We take all the hassle out and set the BBQ/Fire Pit up for you so all you have to do is light it and enjoy!! We will set it up in the safest place so please don’t move it.- Please do not use your own fire pit/bbq
- Do not light a fire anywhere other than our fire pit
- The fire pit must only be outside.
- Don’t put anything flammable near the fire.
- Once you’ve lit the fire it's your responsibility to look after it and yourselves around it. Please don’t leave a fire unattended, and let it burn down before snuggling down for the night
- There is a fire blanket in your pod and fire extinguishers can be found in the kitchen if you need them. If you have to use anything please inform one of us so we can get them replaced as quickly as possible.
- We ask that people use common sense and if there are high winds then please don't light a fire.
-
Are Tents/Caravans/Motorhomes Welcome?
I'm sure all caravans, mobile homes and tents are lovely but we are a pod site and just have pods. If you'd like to come and stay anyway there is plenty of parking or check out our friendly neighbour site about half a mile away, just google Field Barn Park.
-
Are There Washing Facilities on Site?
We offer showers and personal hygine amenities but for clothing I'm afraid not at the moment. It's something we are looking into but waiting to see if there is demand. There is a fab big sink in the Cookhouse Cabin though if you'd like to hand wash some clothes, just please don't put anything wet on the radiators!

Can We Use Fireworks or Chinese Lanterns for Celebrations?
While we encourage celebrations of all sorts (why not?!!) and we don't want to be party poopers; the animals on the farm really don’t like fireworks and find them scary. Moreover, our local timber-framed barns that store nice dry straw and hay definitely don’t like Chinese lanterns. So if you could refrain from anything that could cause a fire or scare animals, we would all be much happier (especially the cows!). If you are still unsure and want to double check anything do email Kim on info@thewildingscampsite.co.uk.
-
How Far Is the Nearest Pub?
You have a pick of a few down in the village less than a mile away or we have a lovely one by the river in Barrington just a short drive away.
-
Are There Any Local Takeaways?
We don't really have a lot of takeaways around here but there are a couple of fish and chip shops in the village that are worth checking out. They don't deliver though and we don't like deliveries on site.
